MY RESEARCH

Currently I am working in development of a novel oscillator based signal conditioning circuit for the existing 'Milk Tester' developed by the researchers  of IIT Kharagpur .

IMPROVED SIGNAL CONDITIONING CIRCUIT DESIGNING FOR ADULTERATION DETECTION IN MILK

Globally, India is the largest producer of milk. Despite being the largest producer, adulteration is a major problem. There is almost no surveillance on quality of milk consumed in small confectionaries or household. Hence, detection of adulterants in milk is much needed.  Most of the existing commercial milk testers are expensive or require chemical expertise. Researchers under Dr. Karabi Biswas of IIT Kharagpur already developed a "Milk Tester" capable of detecting major ionic adulterants. This tester is successfully tested in National Dairy Research Institute( NDRI), Kalyani.
Hence, the long term goal is to develop a low-cost and user friendly milk tester which is capable of detecting major ionic and covalent adulterants and estimating major three key components (Fat, SNF and Protein) of milk .  Currently, my work is focused on developing a novel signal conditioning scheme for improving its performances ( improving the limit of detection (LOD), detecting more number of adulterants).
A novel oscillatory signal conditioning scheme is proposed for this purpose. However, the proposed novel oscillator architecture is not only suitable for this milk tester but also applicable for detecting phase of any two terminal device.
